When Stone’s Throw Brewing opened its doors earlier this spring, Bellingham surpassed Seattle in breweries per capita.
Co-owned by Tony Luciano and Jack Pflueger, a pair of WWU grads who discovered brewing in their kitchen. Today they brew a variety of traditional ales in a stack of recycled shipping containers that sit behind their taproom at the infamous address of 1009 Larabee Ave. Annie Bronson operated a brothel in the same location in the formative days of Fairhaven.
Stone’s Throw pays homage to the seedy history of their address with a parking sign for “Miss Annie.”
The most residential of Bellingham’s breweries, Stone’s Throw has all of the comforts of home including an abundance of backyard seating around a fire pit. Drop by, and try the Blanchard ESB.
