Board game pubs are a growing national phenomenon, riding the popularity of large and complex tabletop games and RPGs. These establishments serve food and drink just like a sports bar or brewery, but they also sell memberships that unlock the chance to use a huge library of games at special gaming tables. And Bellingham is about to get its first.
Rook & Rogue is a board game pub planning to open at 206 W Magnolia St. sometime in early 2017. Renovations are underway, and a sign is hung!
The founders have been very active on Facebook, asking for community input on everything from menu to features. And they are currently crowdfunding for some of the features which they would like to add (but don’t have the budget for right away) like dimmable lighting at each table and an expanded library of games.
