At last, the north side of Bellingham now has a donut shop to call its own. After a long delay, Rolling Donuts & Cafe on Northwest Avenue opened its doors this month.
Anyone who commutes Northwest Avenue has seen the tantalizing “coming soon” signs for more than six months. Renovation delays and other setbacks put off the opening much later than many hoped, but all roadblocks were overcome earlier this month and the shop started selling fritters, bismarks, and other treats.
Though donuts—baked fresh daily—are featured, don’t discount the cafe offerings. Bagel sandwiches and other lunchtime fare round out the menu.
