Ben Gibbard—The singer/songwriter launched his band Death Cab for Cutie here in town playing gigs at the Green Frog and Wild Buffalo. Nationally they’re known as a Seattle band, but we know better.
Hilary Swank—The Million Dollar Baby got her schooling at Happy Valley Elementary, Fairhaven Middle, and Sehome High School. Her family lived near Lake Samish. Before she won two Academy Awards, she was performing with the Bellingham Theatre Guild.
Glenn Beck—The radio and TV personality also attended Sehome High School. Though his family also spent time in Tacoma, Everett, Mount Vernon, and Mountlake Terrace, the founder of TheBlaze.com spent his most formative years in Bellingham.
