There’s a new burger joint in Fairhaven called The Filling Station, and you should try it.

They make upscale burgers from grass-fed beef, a welcome addition to a community in the midst of a serious pizza place bubble. Lux 1950’s diner decor and a menu wrought with car puns signal a strong sense of both style and humor.

The menu might seem spartan at first, but look closer and you’ll see that each burger comes in 4 different meat options—beef, chicken, bison, and (vegetarians rejoice!) Black bean-quinoa—five different bun options, and eight different cheese options.

If you prefer something lighter, they offer three very good salads—named the Leaf, Tesla, and Volt respectively. The beverage lineup will take you back to your childhood with classics like NY Seltzer, Cheerwine, and NuGrape. And the website hints at alternate menus (for the bar and for brunch) due in December.

Drop in and try it, and then let us know what you think!
