Faithlife has added a street piano to its food truck patio at the corner of Champion and Bay.
As anyone who’s taken a stroll through Bellingham’s Farmers Market well knows, this is a city predisposed to spontaneous music. Some downtown street corners seem almost bare without a busker.
Bob Pritchett, CEO and co-founder of Faithlife, saw street pianos in action while visiting Florence, South Carolina, and decided to bring the idea to Bellingham.
Artists from Faithlife are adding their own touches to the piano, with a mural that includes Brad Lockhart’s Bellingham flag and some hand-painted lettering.
Though the piano may move inside when the weather gets cold, those times are still a long way off. So next time you’re downtown, drop by the corner of Champion and Bay and try out Bellingham’s Street Piano.
