Good news! Washington votes by mail, so it’s easy to participate in the upcoming election. But you do have to register. BY TODAY!
Registering to vote in our state (Washington) is really easy. You can do it online, or by mail. And even if you miss the deadline (which—did we mention—IS TODAY!!) you can contact the Whatcom County Elections Department and they may still be able to get you in.
If you can’t remember whether you’re registered or not, the League of Women Voters can check for you.
Once you’re registered, just sit back and wait on your ballot to arrive in the mail. Expect it on or around October 21. Then follow the instructions to fill it out and either mail it back or drop it at a ballot drop box by 8pm on election day (November 8). Easy peasy.
