This year’s Northwest Washington Fair has a lot to get excited about—from the demolition derby on opening day to the motocross on the closing day and Skillet, Colton Dixon, Terri Clark, and moo-wiches in between.

Two motor vehicle events bookend the week-long classic. The demolition derby is a perennial favorite. But motocross is new this year to the fair’s final day. Local riders and top professional will compete on agile 450cc motorcycles for prize money.

All the days between will be chock full of events and activities like the Lynden PRCA Rodeo, concerts by Skillet, and Terri Clark, and of course all the moo-wiches you can eat.

For the uninitiated, a moo-wich is a pair of chocolate chip cookies, holding together a slab of delicious ice cream. But there aren’t words to describe how wonderful it is. You just have to experience it for yourself—preferably, for several days in a row.

Getting to the fair is easier than ever. WTA is offering free bus rides from points throughout the community to the fairgrounds and back.

Make plans to enjoy this Whatcom County tradition.
