The elder of the two Bellingham-based alternative radio stations, KMRE broadcasts from the SPARK museum on Bay Street. The weekly schedule includes a mix of locally produced programming like The Chuckanut Radio Hour, gems from around the country like The Thomas Jefferson Hour, and golden-age classics like Sinatra and Friends.

Younger and scrappier, KVWV has only been on the air for a couple months. Their signal is also broadcast from downtown, but has only reached 40% signal strength so far. On KVWV you’ll hear programing from the Pacifica Network mixed in among the locally produced shows like Lummi Live and Community to Community.
